In 2003 the Jewish Hospital took one step further to becoming a modern health care center by taking over the sponsorship of the retirement home in the Schulstrasse in Berlin-Wedding.
The house is happily situated in a park with large tree population and provides 130 people needing care with a new home for their retirement years.
The 54 single and 38 double rooms are largely equipped with electromotive hospital beds, adjustable in height, and corresponding bed stands as well as individual shower stalls. Built-in closets for clothing, table and chairs are part of the furniture.
The rooms have a balcony or terrace.
Our qualified and dedicated nursing staff takes care of the residents in living communities.
We put the human, his dignity, and his individual needs in the center of our actions.
Our services offered include:
- around-the-clock qualified nursing and care by specialists
- psychosocial care and medical attendance at home
- communicating physical therapy and speech therapists
- rich variety of foods according to individual requirements
- offers of clothing, household, and cleaning services
- mnemonic training
- cooking, baking, handicraft, and music groups
- monthly residents’ paper
- hairdresser and chiropody on demand
We regularly organize garden parties and other seasonal festivities.
We would like our residents to encounter an atmosphere of tolerance, acceptance, and of security and dignity.
All our staffers feel obligated towards the residents for the purpose of these objectives.
